Projectus provided study leadership, rail operational planning and commercial expertise to a major engineering consultant for a client in South Australia.
The concept study was into rail solutions and associated operating costs to transport magnetite products from potential regional mining developments. With the rail engineers, greenfield track alternatives were developed for new a 400km railway, along with alternatives for expansion of existing railways.
Projectus is leading the updating and more detailed concept studies for this project in conjunction with the client’s mine studies. This involves an examination of rail track options and operations improvements that are aimed at further optimising the rail transport cost. As part of this work, we are developing an execution phase work schedule.
